You’ve probably heard about my work in progress about Henry Lee Lucas. Well, that started out as an idea for a kind of homage to Nick Cave’s Murder Ballads. I wanted to write a whole album about serial killers – mostly with beautiful ballads.
Well, I wrote two songs – Henry and this one, which was meant to be about Ted Bundy. I then became obsessed about Henry Lee Lucas’s case and the idea morphed. I think I’ll probably rewrite the lyrics to this song a bit and put it on the Henry album.
