This is a country song very heavily influenced by Leonard Cohen. This was written at the tail end of a horrible relationship I was in for many, many years, where my confidence and sense of self were pretty much destroyed, and I wrote this when I was starting to realise that I needed to get out of it.
I am quite fond of this, even though I don’t really play it anymore. The story behind it makes me love it all the more. It was an outlet to work out some issues.
