My Folk Band’s New Single

A while ago I posted a live show with my band, Góða fólkið (the Good Folks, or slightly more accurately, the SJWs). It’s a fun cover band that plays mostly Irish and American folk music, classic and contemporary, ranging from traditional folk songs to modern bluegrass and lots of stuff in between. It’s a lot of fun.

Well, we have a single out now. It’s a version of Shel Silverstein’s You’re Always Welcome at Our House. If you’ve never heard that song, it’s a hilarious children’s song about a family that murders visitors. It’s been on the Muppets!

Our version has a much more sinister sound than the original. Anyway, I’d love for you to listen to it, and of course if you like it I hope you’ll add it to all your playlists and share it with all your friends. I’m pretty proud of it.

By all means listen to the song using the Spotify player on this page. If you’re logged in to Spotify you’ll be able to listen to the whole thing, but just a preview if you’re not. If you use a different streaming service you should be able to find the song with a simple search. Hope you love it! 😀
